Loddon Auctions is a specialist auctioneer in the sale of cigarette cards, trade cards, postcards, sport memorabilia, stamps, coins, beer labels and all manner of other paper collectables and ephemera.
We aim to provide an excellent service individually tailored to meet the needs of both buyers and sellers.
We offer a friendly and approachable service and have a large contact list of established customers ready to purchase the material on offer. We hold 7-8 auctions annually, are located just South of Reading, Berkshire.
Single Owner, private Autograph collection
Our January auction includes the first section of a significant collection of autographs from a single-owner deceased collector. These were amassed over 50+ years of collecting, with many signatures gained in person from boyhood days at sports venues, theatres & other locations and continuing through to later years with auction purchases and exchanges of correspondence. Many are dedicated to him.
As a member of the MCC there is also a strong cricket offering and again many were collected in person. A truly diverse collection covering all subjects including Royalty, Entertainment, Sport, Politicians, Military & much more.
The collection will be offered over a number of sales.

Our next Auction - June 2024
Our auction on the Wednesday 26th, Thursday 27th and Friday 28th June 2024 is just over a month away.
We are busy behind the scenes cataloguing lots, taking pictures and generally trying to get organised for the sale, if you have any items to consign, the deadline for entries is June 1st, but as is always the case - the earlier we receive your items the better!
Remember: Internet Bidding via Loddon Live is at a reduced premium when compared to the-saleroom.com!!

Based upon technology from our long-term online auction provider, www.the-saleroom.com, you will now be able to place both live and pre-Sale bids through our site.
This will be at the reduced Internet rate of 3% for a total commission of 22%, as opposed to 4.95% (total 23.95%) when placing bids via
the-saleroom.com.
To use this new service you will need to register your interest using the 'Loddon Live' link at the top of the page.

Postage & Packing
All Post & Packing is done in house, at minimal cost, and unlike many of our competitors we do not seek to make a profit on the P&P, merely to recover our costs. We routinely ship lots to successful bidders across the world.
After each auction our in-house staff combine the Lot(s) for each winning bidder and calculate the postage charges, which are shown separately on the invoice before being sent to you. We normally use Royal Mail and Parcelforce for our deliveries. We always combine Postage where possible.
We are happy to work with you should you wish to use your own courier.
We are aware that for certain locations, and/or package sizes, there may be other delivery services available which may be more suitable; should you wish to arrange for your own courier then you may like to try Mail Boxes etc., details as below:
