CSGB 2025 Cartophilic Convention
We are please to confirm that we will be attending the 2025 Cartophilic Convention in Hemel Hempstead on both Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th April.
We will be happy to deliver any sensibly sized Lots won in our April auction to the venue, however, we will be unable to accept any payments at the convention so lots will need to be paid for in advance. Please get in touch with the office if you have any queries.
Our Next Live Auction - April 2025
It's now two weeks until our next live auction on Wednesday 9th, Thursday 10th and Friday 11th April 2025.
The hardcopy catalogue is away at the printers, scans and photographs are being taken and prepared for upload to Loddon Live and the-saleroom.com. Lots are being laid out in a semblance of order and requests for viewings are now being accepted…
We anticipate the catalogue being available online, and arriving on doormats, from Saturday 29th March.
Remember: For our Live auctions Internet Bidding via Loddon Live is at a reduced premium when compared to the-saleroom.com!!
Loddon Live
Based upon technology from our long-term online auction provider, www.the-saleroom.com, you will now be able to place both live and pre-Sale bids through our site.
This will be at the reduced Internet rate of 3% for a total commission of 22%, as opposed to 4.95% (total 23.95%) when placing bids via
the-saleroom.com.
To use this new service you will need to register your interest using the 'Loddon Live' link at the top of the page.
Postage & Packing
All Post & Packing is done in house, at minimal cost, and unlike many of our competitors we do not seek to make a profit on the P&P, merely to recover our costs. We routinely ship lots to successful bidders across the world.
After each auction our in-house staff combine the Lot(s) for each winning bidder and calculate the postage charges, which are shown separately on the invoice before being sent to you. We normally use Royal Mail and Parcelforce for our deliveries. We always combine Postage where possible.
We are happy to work with you should you wish to use your own courier.
We are aware that for certain locations, and/or package sizes, there may be other delivery services available which may be more suitable; should you wish to arrange for your own courier then you may like to try Mail Boxes etc., details as below:
