Loddon Auctions is a specialist auctioneer in the sale of cigarette cards, trade cards, postcards, sport memorabilia, stamps, coins, beer labels and all manner of other paper collectables and ephemera.

We offer a friendly and approachable service and have a large contact list of established customers ready to purchase the material on offer. We hold 7-8 auctions annually, are located just South of Reading, Berkshire.

The late Julian Dunn collection
The next instalment of the late Julian Dunn Postcard and Ephemera Collection is just 2 weeks away; the catalogue is being printed and they should start arriving through letterboxes from Saturday 16th May.
We will be attending the Woking postcard Fair on 22nd & 23 May and will be bringing selective lots from this auction for viewing at that event. Please contact the office if you would like to book a viewing slot, either at Woking, or in the office.
We are busy uploading the last several hundred images to Loddon Live and the-saleroom.com, and the auction should be published for viewing online on the afternoon of Friday 15th May.
Lots are being laid out in a semblance of order and requests for viewings are now being accepted…
We have a limited number of telephone lines available for bidding on the day – please contact the office if you are interested in using this service.
Please remember: in the event of a tied bid, the one which we receive *first* will be the winner. Internet bids made via either Loddon Live or ‘the-saleroom’ are only received by us as the specific Lot is offered on the day of the sale, as a result of this commission bids made directly to us in advance of the sale will always take precedence over bids placed via the online platforms.

All Invoices have been sent, the vast majority have been paid and most Lots have already been dispatched to the successful bidders.
Remember: For our Live auctions Internet Bidding via Loddon Live is at a reduced premium when compared to the-saleroom.com!!
Loddon Live
Based upon technology from our long-term online auction provider, www.the-saleroom.com, you will now be able to place both live and pre-Sale bids through our site.
This will be at the reduced Internet rate of 3% for a total commission of 22%, as opposed to 4.95% (total 23.95%) when placing bids via
the-saleroom.com.
To use this new service you will need to register your interest using the 'Loddon Live' link at the top of the page.
Postage & Packing
All Post & Packing is done in house, at minimal cost, and unlike many of our competitors we do not seek to make a profit on the P&P, merely to recover our costs. We routinely ship lots to successful bidders across the world.
After each auction our in-house staff combine the Lot(s) for each winning bidder and calculate the postage charges, which are shown separately on the invoice before being sent to you. We normally use Royal Mail and Parcelforce for our deliveries. We always combine Postage where possible.
We are happy to work with you should you wish to use your own courier.
We are aware that for certain locations, and/or package sizes, there may be other delivery services available which may be more suitable; should you wish to arrange for your own courier then you may like to try Mail Boxes etc., details as below:
